SOBIECH SIGNS FOR KÖLN

Lasse Sobiech informed club officials in late March of his intention not to renew his current contract, which expires at the end of June. The identity of his new club has now been revealed. Sobiech will wear the colours of FC Köln next term after putting pen to paper on a four-year deal with the Billy Goats, a move that guarantees a swift reunion with the defender next season.
Sobiech made his 134th competitive appearance for St. Pauli in Sunday's 2-0 defeat at MSV Duisburg. The no-nonsense centre-back scored 16 goals in the last four seasons plus a one-year loan spell in 2011/12 and made another three.
