DFL ASSEMBLY POSTPONES ROUND 27

The Extraordinary Assembly of the German Football League (DFL), comprising the 36 Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2 clubs, resolved on Monday to postpone Round 27 in the top two divisions of German football due to the ongoing spread of the coronavirus.
Following the postponement of Matchday 26 last weekend due to the coronavirus, the 36 clubs unanimously decided on Monday morning to call off this weekend's round of matches, too. The meeting also resolved to reassess the situation after the international break. A further decision on the continuation of the top two divisions is scheduled for the week beginning Monday, 30 April.
DFL CEO Christian Seifert said that containing the spread of the virus and protecting the well-being of all involved parties had the highest priority in everything the DFL did, adding that the decision should not be taken to mean that Round 28 would definitely go ahead as scheduled on the first weekend of April.
Commenting on today's decision, FCSP president Oke Göttlich said: "We want to continue on our path of prioritising the health of the general public and containing the virus – this is what the DFL affirmed today. We aren't a volunteer organisation, we're a business operation on which the livelihoods of several hundred employees depend. We aim to continue meeting our social responsibility for our staff and their welfare, which is why we voted for the motion of the DFL Management Board."

Ticket office update
All tickets will remain valid until a decision has been taken on how the rest of the season will unfold. Tickets purchased in the members sale for the home games against Heidenheim, Aue and Regensburg will not be sent out for the time being. No collection of these tickets will be offered until further notice. Should any game take place behind closed doors or be cancelled altogether, the purchase price will, of course, be refunded. This applies to match tickets, season and year tickets, season packages, and away tickets.
Details of how the refund of tickets for individual matches will be managed and what the available options are will be announced in due course. This also applies if a game is rescheduled, of course. We trust you will understand that with the situation changing constantly the ticket office will not be taking any decisions simply for the sake of it. As soon as we know for sure what is going to happen, we will provide detailed information on the next steps. With this, we hope to avoid any unnecessary hassle for all concerned.
