Uwe Stöver (director of sport): "On the one hand we came from behind, on the other we didn't win the game despite being the better side. That's frustrating, especially when you consider how much we've invested every game in recent weeks. The morale is spot on, the return isn't. The point feels like a defeat. First we're careless at the back, then up front. The results all went our way except for ours.

Christopher Buchtmann: "Again we concede from a set piece. The 15 minutes after that went their own way. We only have ourselves to blame if we concede twice at the Millerntor. We then got right back into it, however, and we really should have added another because we had the momentum. The chances we had were beautifully crafted, but in the end that's no use, if you don't win the game. If we'd scored another, we wouldn't be discussing it now."

Robin Himmelmann: "It's the same every week. We keep conceding goals from set pieces, this time midway through the game instead of at the end. I've no idea what the reason is, whether we lack concentration. It doesn't matter if we were 2-0 down, 2-2 at home isn't good enough. I've no explanation for the way we started. We woke up after half an hour and had some good situations and chances to win the game in the end."

Johannes Flum: "It was a good performance, but we have little to show for it. We wanted more today and really should have won. To be honest the draw feels like a defeat. We didn't do a bad job even though the risk was high. In the end we simply have to score again. That's it."

Lasse Sobiech: "It seems we need a wake-up call to get into the game. When we made it 2-1 the noise got louder, and after we equalised I've rarely heard the Millerntor as loud as that. I didn't want the first half to end. It's incredibly annoying not to win the game in the end."

Aziz Bouhaddouz: "It took us a long time to get into the game and we deserved to be 2-0 down, but we showed good morale to fight our way back. That's what makes this team stand out. I should have taken my chance in the second half. I controlled the ball well, in principle, and I wanted to stick it in the far corner but I missed. Unfortunately it's two points dropped in the end, but going by the chances we should have run out comfortable winners. If we can't win games like this one, we've no business being at the top end of the table.“

Sami Allagui: "It felt like we'd lost the game in the first 30 minutes. Having said that, we fought back very well. When Lasse pulled one back, the spell was broken. If the first half had gone on a bit longer, we might have turned the game round."

Marco Grüttner (SSV Jahn Regensburg): "To lead 2-0 here was outstanding. Their first goal was a bad one to concede, we made a hash of it. St. Pauli put us under incredible pressure in the second half and I have to take my hat off to the lads for the way we saw the game out. What an amazing atmosphere!"
