"IT'S FUN TO GET STUCK IN FOR THE TEAM"

Another home win at long last! Two months after the 3-1 defeat of Sandhausen, the Boys in Brown picked up another three points at the Millerntor thanks to a 2-0 success over Fürth. And so it was only natural that the mood in the camp was more than good after the final whistle. Here's the post-match reaction.

Henk Veerman: "It wasn't an easy game, but we did a good job and won. That's what it's all about. It's a good feeling to be in the top half of the table and go into games with confidence."

Jan-Philipp Kalla: "We kept another clean sheet and threw ourselves in the way of the balls with all we had. It was important that we won the tackles in midfield instead of parking the bus. It's fun to get stuck in for the team. We worked hard to have 31 points after the first half of the season and we deserve them. We now have to mobilise everything we have one more time and end a good year on a positive note."

Ryo Miyaichi: "After all my injuries I'm so happy to be on the pitch pain-free and without any problems. I never would have thought that a few months ago. Our focus turns to Magdeburg now."

Marvin Knoll: "We could have a scored another but so what? We played well and deserved to win. We now want to take the momentum into the final game of the year, have a nice holiday and then go again next year."

Rachid Azzouzi (SpVgg Greuther Fürth): "It was an improvement on our previous performances. We kept our shape and defended well. Set pieces are our Achilles heel at the moment and that was the case again today. It was a good performance even though we lost."

Richard Magyar (SpVgg Greuther Fürth): "We're in a difficult phase at the moment. Today we played better than we did in our last game against Aue. To come back from two down is tough, of course, but it's our job to find a way. We need to be greedy and hungry again but also a little patient. I know we can be more successful then"
