Diarra returns to Salzburg as loan deal ends

FC St. Pauli have made another personnel decision with the return of midfielder Youba Diarra to RB Salzburg, where he is under contract until 2024. The two clubs have reached a corresponding agreement to end the loan deal early due to a knee injury sustained by the 21-year-old, whose recovery process continues.
Director of sport Andreas Bornemann: "Youba joined us to strengthen our midfield. Unfortunately, it's become clear from his injury that the recovery process is still ongoing. A termination of the loan deal by mutual agreement of the player and the two clubs is therefore the best solution. We'd like to thank Youba for his efforts and wish him a speedy recovery and all the best for his future career."
Diarra joined the Boys in Brown in August 2019 and went on to make a total of three appearances, including the 2-0 derby defeat of HSV and a 90-minute runout at Heidenheim.
