DIAMANTAKOS ON TARGET IN 1-1 DRAW AT KARLSRUHE AS HIMMELMANN SAVES PENALTY
FC St. Pauli earned a 1-1 draw at Karlsruher SC on Saturday afternoon. A 55th minute strike from Dimitrios Diamantakos was cancelled out almost immediately by Jerome Gondorf. That came after Robin Himmelmann had saved an Änis Ben-Hatira penalty. The draw ensures the cushion to the relegation play-off spot remains at five points.

After a good first half in which the Boys in Brown steadily improved after going behind early and missed several opportunities to equalise, they eventually slipped to a heavy 4-0 defeat at SV Darmstadt 98. BARREN RECORD AT DARMSTADT CONTINUES AFTER 4-0 DEFEAT
A run of five games without a defeat stretching back to mid-February came to an end at SV Darmstadt 98 on Saturday. After edging the first half the Boys in Brown eventually went down 4-0. Mathias Honsak gave Darmstadt an early lead before goals from Yannick Stark, Marvin Mehlem and Victor Palsson in the closing stages eased the home side to a comfortable win. Dimitrios Diamantakos then missed a penalty in time added on.
